The SEC requested comments on disclosures required by
Industry Guide 3 – "Statistical
Disclosure by Bank Holding Companies." Comments must be
submitted by May 8, 2017.
As
previously reported, the SEC is soliciting public input on
"whether Guide 3 continues to elicit the information that
investors need for informed investment and voting decisions,"
and on whether there are now types of bank-holding company activity
disclosures "that investors would find important."
The request for comments is part of a series of steps taken by
the SEC in an effort to update its existing reporting
standards.
The content of this article is intended to provide a general
guide to the subject matter. Specialist advice should be sought
about your specific circumstances.
