WEBINAR DESCRIPTION

Turkey: Competition Law Compliance Programs and Trainings: Client Experiences and Notes for the Future

The critical importance of competition law compliance programs and trainings are often disregarded until the actual risks come into play. Although some companies might still be inclined to confine themselves to relatively text-book compliance programs and sporadic trainings given to employees, the ever-evolving compliance requirements necessitate the corporate compliance programs to be continually updated and structured in accordance with each company’s specific business models and areas of potential risk. An effective competition law compliance program can only be attained with a holistic approach to compliance, while facilitating a proper penetration at various levels of the company, by consistently communicating the correct mindset and following up with regular internal investigations, as well as tailor-made training exercises.

During this webinar, Mr. Gürkaynak of ELIG Gürkaynak Attorneys-at-Law will focus on the essential elements of an effective competition law compliance program, while also providing illustrative case studies from client experiences, and sharing notes on how to safeguard compliance efficiency from a Turkish competition law standpoint. In this respect, Mr. Gürkaynak will also discuss the scope and depth of internal investigations, along with the potential risk management/mitigation role of the competition law compliance programs in Turkey.
