The DOJ filed charges against the owner of two companies in Florida for submitting false and fraudulent claims in order to receive (i) reimbursement from Medicare and (ii) loans from the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). The Complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. The DOJ alleged wire fraud, conspiracy to commit health care fraud, payment of health care kickbacks and false statements to a financial institution and the Small Business Administration.
