After the original trial date was postponed due to Texas's
recent severe weather, the first day of the VLSI Technologies
v. Intel trial finally arrived, with new COVID-19 precautions
in place, and the first day certainly did not disappoint.
Day 1's Order of Play was:

- Opening Statements
- Plaintiff's case-in-chief
- First witness – Jim Spehar, VP
of Research and Development for NXP
