Facebook announced that it will no longer run ads on its platform that discourage people from getting vaccinated.  Facebook said that it will begin enforcing this prohibition over the next few days.

"Our goal is to help messages about the safety and efficacy of vaccines reach a broad group of people, while prohibiting ads with misinformation that could harm public health efforts," said Kang-Xing Jin, Head of Health, and Rob Leathern, Director of Product Management, at Facebook.

Facebook already does not allow ads with vaccine hoaxes that have been publicly identified by leading global health organizations.

Facebook indicated, however, that ads that advocate for or against legislation or government policies around vaccines are still allowed.
