Mark Whitaker spoke to Bloomberg Law  about the U.S. International Trade Commission's (ITC) suspension of an import ban on drones because of a U.S. Patent and Trademark Office review that gives accused infringers an opening to escape a financially costly ban on moving goods into the country.

"It gives a little bit of light where there was none before for respondents," Mark said. "If you have any inkling that you may be having a complaint brought against you in the ITC, and you know the patents that are going to be asserted, you should start your work right then on an [inter partes review]."
