Center released its 2018 Report on Foreign Economic
Espionage in Cyberspace. The report described the threat of
cyber-economic espionage against U.S. industries by foreign
nation-state actors that exploit vulnerabilities in next-generation
technologies such as artificial intelligence, the IoT, and cloud
computing. The report identified the energy, biotechnology, and
defense technology industries as among the sectors of highest
interest to foreign actors. The report also highlighted emerging
