Hurricane Sally made landfall on Alabama Gulf Coast near the
city of Gulf Shores early in the morning on Wednesday, September
16, 2020. The storm crawled slowly over the area as a strong
Category 2 hurricane with sustained winds approaching 110 mph. The
storm's center and powerful eyewall passed over significant
portions of the Alabama Gulf Coast and Mobile Bay, as well as large
areas in and around Pensacola and Perdido Key, Florida, before
moving inland into South Alabama. The initial damage appears to be
extensive in many of these areas...
