Washington Amends MLO Licensing Provisions To Allow Remote Work

The state of Washington recently amended its licensing provisions under
the Mortgage Broker Practices Act to allow licensed mortgage loan
originators (MLOs) to work from an unlicensed location if the
location is the MLO's residence and the MLO and the sponsoring
company complies with state and federal information security
requirements and applicable regulations.
The amendments are effective on July 25, 2021.
