Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to speak to the
chairman of the board of Ericsson. I complimented him on the gender
diversity achieved on his board of directors; at the time, out of
11 non-union board members, Ericsson had four women directors. He
responded that once the board had decided to increase the
representation of women on the board, there was no shortage of
qualified women candidates, and he really valued the contributions
of the women directors.
