Joe Hancock, Cyber Security Lead in MDR CYBER,
commented on the need for local councils to build cyber-defences in
response to evolving threats in a recent Lexis Nexis article.
Joe stated that the solution could not be solely
technology-focused:
"Local councils must also ensure that staff
have the cyber security awareness needed to deal with threats to
them and to the data of those living in their borough. This human
element of cyber security is less easily grasped and requires
constant work to maintain, but it is key to establishing a strongly
resilient cyber security posture."
