Milbank Advises Eir On Its €350M Bond Offering

Milbank LLP advised eir on the offering of €350 million
1.75% Senior Secured Notes due 2024.
The proceeds of the offering of the notes will be used to prepay
a portion of the company’s existing term loan. This
transaction follows eir’s successful €1.15 billion
bank/bond financing transaction in May 2019.
eir is the principal provider of fixed line telecommunications
and the third largest mobile telecommunications provider in
Ireland.
The Milbank team was led by London Leveraged Finance/Capital
Markets partners Apostolos Gkoutzinis and Suhrud Mehta, with
associates Andrew Bechtel, Kenneth Ryan, Serguei Chevtchenko,
Francesca Mosely and Anastasia Kontaxi. The team also included New
York tax partner Eschi Rahimi-Laridjani and associate Jules Mugema
and New York leveraged finance partner Michael Bellucci and
associate Ashley Rose.
