Some businesses allow employees to access company resources and data on their personal devices, by having a "bring your own device" policy. Whilst this may be advantageous and save costs by not having to buy the device themselves, there are risks if the policy is not managed properly. Employers should be concerned about threat to their security. Well managed policies should separate business use from personal use. It is also suggested that employers should consider making provision for remotely deleting sensitive data from such devices.
