Social Security Agreement between the Republic of Turkey and Kyrgyz Republic that was signed on 9 April 2018, has been approved by Turkey President. The approval decision has been published on the Official Gazette dated 3 July 2020, numbered 31174.

The highlights of the agreement can be summarized as follows:

  • In temporary assignments; Employees in contracting states may be subject to legislation of the first contracting state for up to 24 months. This period can be extended up to 60 months after the approval of the parties.
  • For the work accident, occupational disease, temporary incapacity and maternity allowances; the Contracting Party legislation in which the relevant person works as an employee or independently, is applied.
  • If the insurance period is not sufficient in determining the pension right, the insurance periods of the two parties can combined.
