London – Mayer Brown has advised private equity firm CBPE Capital ("CBPE") on the sale of Perspective Financial Group ("Perspective") to US private investment firm Charlesbank. The sale is subject to regulatory approval from the FCA.

CBPE is a middle-market private equity firm with a strong track record investing in the financial services sector. Its portfolio extends to businesses in the healthcare and pharmaceuticals, business services, technology and industrial sectors.

Perspective is a financial planning and wealth advisory business with 40 offices across the UK and over 500 staff, of which 140 are financial planners. Since CBPE's investment in December 2019, it has completed 45 acquisitions, growing from £2.6 to £8 billion assets under management through a focused buy-and-build investment strategy.

Mayer Brown also advised CBPE on its investment in Perspective alongside the current management team in December 2019.
