WASHINGTON, DC – E. Dee Martin and Yasmin Nelson, both members of Bracewell LLP's Policy Resolution Group (PRG), have been named to the National Institute for Lobbying & Ethics' (NILE) 2022 list of Top Lobbyists. They are among 100 lobbyists, PAC managers and grassroots professionals who were nominated by their colleagues, Congressional staff or clients for their outstanding legislative successes, pro bono work, and charity and community involvement.

In 2022, Martin helped shape federal Congressional and Administrative policies related to the Clean Energy Transition. She was also instrumental in helping lead The Trevor Project — the world's most significant suicide prevention and mental health organization for LGBTQ youth — in its work related to 9-8-8, the nation's new three-digit dialing code for mental health services. In addition, she created and hosts the award-winning Madam Policy podcast, where she interviews high-level federal officials, industry leaders and other advocates. Martin is a partner in the firm's Washington, DC office and co-chair of the Policy Resolution Group.

Nelson, who joined Bracewell in 2021, is a PRG senior principal and a former senior policy advisor to then-Senator Kamala D. Harris. In 2022, she helped the National Brain Tumor Society(NBTS) work with Congress to increase funding for the Peer-Reviewed Cancer Research Program. Nelson also led Mothering Justice to create the first Congressional Mamas' Caucus in the House and Senate, which advocates for mothers of color and their families and empowers them to hold those in charge accountable for making the changes they want to see.
