For the sixth consecutive year Appleby attended the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE), Europe’s largest and most important business aviation trade show, and Eleanor Dangerfield represented the Isle of Man office as one of Appleby’s global team of experts.

EBACE was jointly hosted by the European Business Aviation Association and the National Business Aviation Association at Geneva’s Palexpo conference centre from 24 to 26 May 2016, showcasing hundreds of exhibiting companies and a static display of nearly 60 aircraft. Eleanor Dangerfield (left) from Appleby, one of the world’s leading offshore law firms, was among 13,000 business aviation professionals from more than 100 countries who attended.

As well as providing a platform for leading industry professionals to network and do business, EBACE also provides the opportunity to hear directly from leading voices in aviation on key topics and issues. These included the impact of the Zika virus on the aviation sector and what procedures business aircraft operators should have in place; and how to attract young professionals into the growing business aviation industry to fill a skills shortage.

Eleanor, from Appleby Isle of Man’s Corporate department, commented: “Conventions such as these are a key opportunity to keep up to date with significant European industry topics and with the key business professionals.

“EBACE was also an opportunity to outline Appleby’s high quality services to existing and new clients from around the world. We have offices in the aircraft registry locations of Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, the Isle of Man and Jersey with extensive experience in advising on aircraft transactions and regulation. In particular, the Isle of Man has long been the domicile of choice for financing and registering private aircraft and combined with our presence in key jurisdictions and global experitise in the field means Appleby is ideally placed to assist clients with aviation matters.”
