There are a staggering 300 million children worldwide without a pair of shoes. As a result, many of them are not allowed to attend school and are at risk of infection and injury. In recognition of this, our Cayman Islands and Isle of Man offices have been engaging in charitable activities to fundraise and donate towards those in vital need of footwear.

>Sal's Shoes

Sal's Shoes is a remarkable charity that relies on the donations of used, loved (and barely worn) children's shoes to deliver them to those in need. To date, it has found new feet for over 1.5 million preloved pairs of children's shoes in 46 different countries.

Building on last year's donation, our Isle of Man team kindly donated 57 pairs of shoes in addition to a monetary contribution.

>Put your best foot forward

Our Cayman Islands office recently took part in the sixth 'Put Your Best Foot Forward' dress down fundraiser for underprivileged children in the community. Organised by Rotaract Blue, a Cayman Islands community service club for young adults and in partnership with the Department of Children and Family Services, over US$6,000 was raised which included a large donation from our charitable trust.

Proceeds from the fundraiser were then used by Rotaract Blue to order school shoes for more than 130 children in readiness for the new school year. This year the need for support has been compounded by the pandemic, with the number of students requiring support increasing from last year's figure of 80.
