Carey Olsen advised the consortium of buyers on their acquisition of Sandpiper CI, the Channel Islands' leading retailer, which recently completed.

Ravenscroft Limited assembled the consortium, which indicated its intention to purchase Sandpiper plc in November 2015. It includes Bailiwick Investments Limited, Sealyham Investments Limited and other Ravenscroft Limited private clients. The existing Sandpiper management are also investors and will continue to run the business.

Carey Olsen advised on all aspects of the purchase providing full-service corporate and other specialist legal advice including property expertise.

The pan-Channel Island team included corporate partner Mike Jeffrey and senior associate James Willmott (who led on the deal) in Jersey, Guernsey partner Tony Lane and Jersey associate Katherine Tresca. Property partners Chris Philpott, in Jersey, and Jason Morgan, in Guernsey, together with senior associates Will Whitehead and Jonathan Anderson, provided property advice across the Channel Islands.
