  • insurance against civil liability;
  • classification societies; and
  • radio traffic accounting authorities.

The section on registration sets out the administrative procedures to be followed and the supporting documentation to be submitted in connection with applications for:

  • provisional registration;
  • permanent registration;
  • bareboat charter (parallel-in registration);
  • parallel-out registration; and
  • other registry transactions such as change of name, deletion from the register and mortgage-related matters

The guide includes full details of all fees and taxes payable. Further sections deal with the tonnage tax system, training, international relations and the certification and registration of seafarers.
