The following emergency measures have been taken by the Department of the Registrar of Companies and Official Receiver in Cyprus as of the 23/03/2020:

  1. The procedure for conformity as to filing of outstanding Annual Reports is postponed, and the Registrar of Companies shall not be proceeding with any publications for the three (3) month notice for strike-off of non-complying companies until January 2021
  2. With reference to payment of the Annual Levy of €350 for the year 2020, companies will now be allowed to effect payment up to the 31st December 2020, without any additional penalties (currently at 10% and 30%).
  3. No monetary penalty shall be imposed for any late filing fees, and this process is postponed until 2021.
  4. As to the filing of the Annual Reports for 2020, it is noted that any Annual Report with date of preparation being between 01/01/2020 until 31/12/2020 may be submitted with the Registrar of Companies up to and including the 28/01/2021 without the imposition of the late filing fee of €20. Companies are advised to wait for such filings for a few days, until the Registrar of Companies amends its online systems so as to exclude the monetary penalty fee.
