Chilean financial institution Banco de Crédito e Inversiones
(BCI) on a US$500 million cross-border debt issuance.

and Carey in Santiago advised Citigroup Global Markets,
HSBC Securities, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Standard
Chartered Bank as dealers. The deal closed on 12 October.
The debt was issued under BCI's US$2 billion medium-term
note programme.
BCI is the fourth-largest bank in Chile in terms of total assets
and deposits, and the third-largest in terms of net loans. It will
use the proceeds from the sale of the notes for general corporate
purposes.
