From 31 March 2009, a simpler process has been introduced for registering companies with the National Registry Court and other bodies.

The new rules require all personal or postal applications to register a company in the companies' register to be accompanied by:

  • an application to the Statistical Office, for the compulsory statistical number, REGON
  • an application to the relevant social security office, to register the company
  • an application to the relevant revenue office (addressed to the head) to register the company as a tax payer, accompanied by a document (eg a lease agreement) confirming the company's right to use the premises used as the company's registered office.

Similar applications must also be submitted to the registry court when the company applies to change its registered details.

The registry court will then send each application to the relevant body (within three business days of making the relevant entry, as a general rule).

When applications to the National Registry Court are filed electronically, the other applications to the Statistical Office, social security office and revenue office must each be sent directly to the relevant body, and not to the court.
