A discussion with The Honourable Thomas Albert Cromwell C.C.
Please join us for an in-depth discussion of the principle of good faith and the Supreme Court's decisions in CM Callow Inc. v. Zollinger and Wastech Services v. Greater Vancouver Sewerage and Drainage District with the Honourable Thomas Albert Cromwell C.C.
These decisions refine the principle of good faith in contractual relations following the Supreme Court's 2014 decision in Bhasin v. Hrynew, which then Justice Cromwell wrote for the Court. At this event, Mr. Cromwell will discuss the practical implications that the CM Callow and Wastech decisions will have for business, and will be joined by partners Ewa Krajewska from our Disputes Group and Andrew McLean from our Business Group.
Do CM Callow and Wastech change the rules of the game between contracting parties? Will it create uncertainty? How can businesses ensure they stay onside their duties when communicating with their co-contracting parties? Join us to find out!

QC: Please note, the concept of "recognition" or "accreditation" has been abolished. By doing this, the Barreau is trying to make it easier for lawyers to claim mandatory CLE credits without a formal accreditation process. It is now up to individual lawyers to determine the eligibility of a training activity and to declare the hours in their "Dossier de formation en ligne".
