Most business transactions involve the sharing of personal
information, as is permitted by special provisions in Canadian most
privacy statutes. This session will address the role of information
sharing in business transactions as well as the sharing provisions,
their limitations and their requirements.

Presented by Max Jarvie
An overview of significant privacy law issues confronting the
contemporary artificial intelligence (AI) landscape and distributed
ledger technologies in the Canadian context. Join our presenter to
learn more about the privacy law challenges arising for these
cutting-edge technologies.

Connected and Smart Devices – November 25
Presented by Ira Parghi and George Wray
People and objects are connected in ever increasing ways. More and
more, our devices collect, store, process, and disseminate data.
While this undoubtedly makes our lives easier and more efficient,
it also creates information privacy and security risks. Learn about
some of these challenges, and about efforts by government
regulators and industry to manage them. Examples will be considered
from the automotive and medical device industries in Canada and
beyond.
