An inter-account transfer alone will not constitute a disposition for tax purposes, because a transfer alone does not result in that taxpayer relinquishing ownership of an underlying cryptocurrency token. Where the tokens simply flow between accounts controlled by the same taxpayer, that is not a taxable event.
