2020-01-14 – Ontario issued a total of 7,391 nominations through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program in 2019, the province has announced.

The number includes the OINP's initial allocation of 6,650, plus the 700 extra places offered by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada in December.

It also includes 41 nominations issued to intermediate skilled temporary foreign workers under the federal government's NOC C initiative.

"The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program has reached its increased 2019 nomination allocation and has started to notify successful applicants," a provincial statement said.

It added: "New applications, and applications which have already been submitted to the OINP, will continue to be accepted and considered under the OINP's 2020 nomination allocation."
