The Brazil Petroleum Agency (ANP) has published, on June 12, the Preliminary RFP, the minutes of the Concession Contract and the schedule for Bid Round 13. As previously announced, the Round is scheduled to take place on 7th October this year.

At this Round, 266 exploratory blocks distributed between 10 sedimentary basins will be offered, with a total of 125,034.09 km².

This will be the first Round after the modifications introduced by ANP Resolution N. 18/2015. As reflected in the Preliminary RFP divulged by ANP, only the winning companies shall have to go through the technical, judicial and economic-financial qualification process. The interested companies (national or foreign) may participate in Bid Round 13 though the application process and present offers exclusively for the blocks located in the sectors for which they have paid the relevant participation fee.

More information about Bid Round 13 are available on ANP's website.
