Australian citizenship processing
The Government will hold online citizenship ceremonies via secure video link, to enable people to continue to become Australian citizens during the coronavirus crisis. Current health advice around COVID-19 means it is not possible for traditional, in-person citizenship ceremonies to be held. Coronavirus and temporary visa holders
The Government announces that, in line with changes being made for Australian citizens and permanent residents, most temporary visa holders with work rights will now be able to access their Australian superannuation to help support themselves during this crisis. The Morrison Government has created a new visa extending the stay of critical seasonal workers to ensure the agricultural sector has the labour force it needs.
