On January 20, Executive Decree No. 27/2021 (the Decree) approving the regulation of Law No. 27,555 on the legal framework applicable to Teleworking Labor Contracts (the "Teleworking Law") was published in the Official Gazette. The law undergoing regulation had been published in the Official Gazette on August 14, 2020 and consists of 19 sections.

The Executive Branch regulated 11 of those 19 sections, including provisions on cases  not governed by the "Teleworking Law"; the right to digital disconnection; conditions under which caretaking tasks may be performed by teleworking individuals; limits and conditions for reversal; how work  tools are to be provided and expenses reimbursed; union representation of teleworking individuals; health and safety conditions; employer oversight systems; and the right to privacy of teleworking individuals.

The Decree stipulates that the Ministry of Labor is to issue a resolution indicating as of when the 90-day period for the Teleworking Law to enter into force begins.
