Competition Appeal Tribunal dismisses Electro Rent appeal against CMA gun jumping fine

The Competition Appeal Tribunal has dismissed Electro Rent's appeal against a CMA penalty of £100,000 for failure to comply with an interim hold separate order. The Tribunal dismissed Electro Rent's arguments that the CMA erred in finding that Electro Rent did not have a reasonable excuse for the breach and that the penalty imposed by the CMA was excessive.
