Spain ratifies the contribution of €150 million to the Green Climate Fund

The acting Minister of Economy and Business, Nadia Calviño, and the Executive Director of the Green Climate Fund, Yannick Glemarec, have signed Spain's contribution agreement to the Fund. This commitment was already advanced by the president of the government in office at the Climate Action Summit held in New York last September.

The Bank of Spain updates the list of systemic entities and establishes its capital cushions

The Bank of Spain has carried out the annual review of the designations of Entities of World Systemic Importance (EISM) for 2021 and Other Entities of Systemic Importance (OEIS) for 2020, establishing their associated capital cushions. These cushions seek to correct the possible competitive advantage that these entities could have in the financing market due to their systemic relevance. Capital buffers contribute to strengthening the solvency of these entities and mitigating the adverse effects that they could cause to the entire financial system.
