Arnold & Porter was named as "US Firm of the Year" in the Life Sciences IP Litigation category and partner Michael Harris was named a "Practitioner of the Year (Litigation)" at the 2021 Managing IP Americas Awards. The 16th annual awards recognize firms, individuals and companies behind the "most innovative and challenging IP work of the past year, as well as those driving the international IP market."

The firm's Intellectual Property and Life Sciences practices were recognized for their exceptional litigation work over the past year. The firm was named "US Firm of the Year: Life Sciences IP Litigation" for its stellar year that featured multiple wins for high-profile clients including Hologic, Boston Scientific, and Sanofi. 

Harris was recognized as "Practitioner of the Year (Litigation)" in the Illinois jurisdiction for his work from the firm's Chicago office. Harris successfully represented Nike Inc. in several matters in the past year, including a significant patent litigation victory in the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. 

Arnold & Porter was also a finalist for "Firm of the Year" in the IP Transactions category. Arnold & Porter attorneys were finalists for "Practitioner of the Year (Litigation)" in the Colorado and DC Metro jurisdictions.
