Taft partner Rita McNeil Danish will moderate a panel for WELD (Women for Economic and Leadership Development) on May 6, 2021. The panel will focus on "Insights on the Board Chair Role."

The board chair plays a critical role in the overall performance of the board and sets the tone for meetings. Especially in times of crisis or transition, the board chair plays a pivotal role in aligning the board and management through challenge. This event will provide key insights to best practices of board chair leadership and will help build attendee confidence to step up into this role. In addition to managing a thriving legal practice, McNeil Danish also serves as Taft's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategic Business Partner. She helps clients in the corporate community to navigate public sector organizations that are owned and operated by government entities. She also addresses organizations in the public sector, to provide legal counsel regarding the nuances of government law. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelors of Business Administration from Howard University, and earned her J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
