Walkers' Global Regulatory & Risk Advisory Group recently welcomed regulatory specialist, Juliana Tang, who has joined as a senior counsel based in Walkers' Cayman Islands office. Bringing with her 20 years' experience in financial services regulation and compliance, with more than 10 years specifically in the insurance and reinsurance industry, Juliana's substantial professional expertise further strengthens Walkers' existing market leading regulatory and compliance practice.

Juliana's experience prior to joining Walkers includes serving as legal advisor at Aon in London, the global insurance and reinsurance intermediary and risk management firm, where she became Aon's dedicated regulatory lawyer advising the businesses and corporate functions on a broad range of legal and regulatory matters. Juliana also served as Head of Legal and Compliance for a global loss adjusting company that focusses on large and complex claims in aviation, energy, marine, property, casualty and special risks sectors.

Juliana has also spent time working at the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK, as well as at KPMG.

Commenting on the growth of the Global Regulatory & Risk Advisory team, group head Lucy Frew said: "Juliana is an excellent senior addition to the team. Her insurance and reinsurance regulatory experience is second-to-none and we are delighted to welcome her to the practice."

News of Juliana's hire comes only two months after Walkers received a 'Tier 1' ranking in Regulatory and Compliance in the prominent legal directory Legal 500, where the firm scored the highest rating possible and was described as being at the top of the industry.
