• The initiative includes two courses on VAT Returns and Cypriot Corporate Income Tax Return

EY Cyprus is proud to announce the launch of a new Web-Based Learning (WBL) initiative, an expansion of the offerings of the EY Academy of Learning and Development.

The Academy was launched in 2020, aimed at developing better professionals and enhancing the capacity of organisations, teams and individuals by improving their knowledge, skills and culture. This learning hub is one of many operating across the world by EY, delivering a wide spectrum of learning initiatives, which reflect the experience and expertise of EY worldwide.

Recognizing the need for greater flexibility in the post-COVID-19 era, the EY Academy's WBL courses offer the opportunity to current and future professionals operating in the Cypriot market to gain in-depth knowledge from EY experts at their own pace and at the comfort and safety of their own space. Equipped with digital tools that enable participants to go from theory to practice through case studies, quizzes, exercises, audio visual material and much more, EY instructors will help participants advance their knowledge and skills, drawing from EY's global expertise.

There are two Web-Based Learning courses currently available for registration:

VAT Return form Step-by-Step Completion (Duration: 3-month subscription – 3 Continuous Professional Development (CPD) units):

This course is designed thoroughly by EY experts to help navigate professionals throughout their VAT Return journey. The material provided allows for a comprehensible delivery of basic VAT principles and how they apply VAT in everyday business transactions in Cyprus.

The course will help participants understand the return responsibilities of the business and how it affects their business reporting model. By the end of this course, participants will understand the VAT roadmap and terminology, and VAT return accounting with practical examples. They will be able to apply important VAT provisions to their organization reporting, ensure compliance and feel confident when completing a VAT Return form.

How to complete Cyprus Corporate Income Tax Return? (Duration: 3-month subscription – 2 Continuous Professional Development (CPD) units):

The course is designed to guide professionals through completing or reviewing the Cypriot Corporate Income Tax Return (Form T.D.4.). This course elaborates on sections of the corporate tax return, and how they may impact a Company's reporting. It provides guidance in all areas which might apply to a Company in the context of preparing and submitting its tax return and provides suggestions on how each section of the Tax Return should be completed accordingly. Participants will learn key aspects to obtain confidence when completing or reviewing a tax return and ensure that their Company is in compliance with this specific statutory filing requirement.

Each course includes navigated web-based learning, case study examples and a one-hour follow-up Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) webcast session available to all enrollees (to be announced separately upon registration). The courses will be accessible on mobile phone or computer for a three-month period. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate from the ΕΥ Academy Learning & Development.
