Taft's Chief Information Officer Andrea Markstrom was recently honored in the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) 2021 list of Influential Women in Legal Tech. This recognition is awarded to five remarkable women in the legal technology industry that exemplify leadership and impact on the community.

"With the judging and intensive review process recently finalized, ILTA received 91 total nominations. Of worthwhile note, from the almost 100 nominations, the nominee list had nine countries represented, showcasing this truly global, industry-leading honor," states ILTA.

"I feel privileged to be recognized among such amazing, influential women leaders in this industry and grateful to work at a firm that prioritizes female voices," says Markstrom.

Recipients demonstrate their dedication to empowering women, fostering change, and making significant contributions to the legal technology industry overall.

Markstrom is responsible for firm-wide information technology and security initiatives across all of Taft's offices and practice areas. Bringing more than 25 years of experience to the firm, she has a track record of success leading technology and operations departments for large corporate organizations and law firms. Markstrom's accolades include the NYC CIO of the Year Award from the CIO Inspire Leadership Organization, which she was awarded in 2019.

In addition to her role at Taft, Markstrom goes above and beyond as founder and CEO of i.WILL, Inspiring Women Igniting Leadership & Learning, a non-profit networking forum dedicated to empowering all women leaders.
