Carey Olsen corporate lawyer Johanna Murphy has been promoted to senior associate in the firm's British Virgin Islands (BVI) office.

Johanna Murphy advises clients on a range of corporate and finance matters in the BVI, including real estate finance, fund finance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and the sale and purchase of real estate. She also specialises in advising international financial institutions and corporate borrowers in relation to real estate finance involving BVI structures and private equity transactions.

Johanna joined Carey Olsen's Jersey office in 2014 prior to which she trained and practised at the Edinburgh office of international law firm CMS Cameron McKenna. She relocated to Carey Olsen's corporate team in the BVI in 2018.
