Washingtonian magazine named five Jones Day partners to its 2020 Top Lawyers list, which features Washington's top legal talent, in 17 practice areas, as voted by area lawyers.

Trish Dunn focuses on renegotiating legacy union contracts to remove operational restrictions and burdensome economic terms. She also has significant experience in negotiating first union contracts for newly organized employers to preserve strong management rights and operational flexibility from the start. Trish represents employers in proceedings before the NLRB, in litigation under Section 301 of the LMRA, and in labor arbitrations.
Scott Levine advises on the tax aspects of corporate transactions, including cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs and other divestitures, restructurings, financings, and joint ventures. He also has negotiated private letter rulings with the Internal Revenue Service in the corporate, international, financial instruments, and energy tax credit areas. He is an adjunct professor of law at the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. and the International Tax Center at Leiden University in the Netherlands.
Alison Marshall is an active litigator who has extensive experience handling complex employment litigation matters including employment discrimination class actions, FLSA collective and state wage and hour class actions, and whistleblower claims. She also routinely counsels employers on pay equity and related compensation issues, class action waivers, OFCCP compliance, ADA compliance, early retirement programs, reorganizations and reductions in force, and sexual and racial harassment policies.
Kevyn Orr provides strategic crisis management advice, identifying creative approaches to novel or first impression situations with an eye toward developing cost-efficient, business oriented solutions. He has practiced in the areas of business restructuring, financial institution regulation, and commercial litigation for three decades and has experience handling all aspects of complex and precedent-setting matters.
As a former federal prosecutor, Hank Walther often handles sensitive U.S. and multijurisdiction matters that could seriously impact a company's health and reputation. He is an accomplished investigator and trial lawyer with significant experience investigating and defending health care fraud, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, securities fraud, False Claims Act, and other financial fraud, antitrust, and corruption matters.
