Webinar

The U.S. Department of Education will soon be under new management. It is anticipated that the agency's new leadership will debut an ambitious and sweeping regulatory agenda, which will include a range of expansions, revisions, and revivals.

During this 90-minute webinar, the presenters will contemplate the status and fate of the regulations slated to become effective this coming July, as well as what is to come. They will also speculate regarding the incoming administration's rulemaking activity, considering the timing, content, and likelihood of revisions to the rules governing Title IX, the borrower defense framework, gainful employment, distance education, state authorization, and the composite score, among others. The presenters will consider the likelihood of an HEA Reauthorization, and the impact a successful reauthorization might have on the Department's regulatory activity.

Aaron Lacey, Chair of the Firm's Higher Education Practice, will lead the discussion. He will be joined by Practice members Katie Wendel and Scott Goldschmidt, as well as by Christopher Murray, Chair of the Firm's Lobbying & Policy team.
