After the success of the last two year's Blue Monday campaigns, Appleby has partnered with local coffee shops Woodies in Guernsey, Bluestone Lane, Jessie's Juice Bar and Southwest Collective in Cayman and Island Roots in BVI to offer local residents a free coffee on Monday 18 January 2021. The third Monday in January is known as 'Blue Monday: the gloomiest day of the year', following the Christmas and New Year celebratory period. This year, Blue Monday falls on 18 January 2021.

In Jersey, due to the current restrictions in place, Appleby will be donating coffees to the volunteers at the Fort Regent vaccination centre and front line workers at Jersey General Hospital who are doing such a great job of supporting the local community.

The #ThanksAppleby campaign, which was hugely successful the last two years, highlights the importance of creating and maintaining connections in a frenetic world.  In these strange times we also want to focus on individual wellbeing and making time to step away from your desk.  Whether you pick up and enjoy a coffee or grab a coffee with someone to chat and reconnect we hope the #ThanksAppleby campaign will bring some extra warmth to your Blue Monday.

The campaign works as follows:

  1. Approach either Woodies in Guernsey, Bluestone Lane, Jessie's Juice Bar or Southwest Collective in Cayman and Island Roots in BVI on Blue Monday (Monday 18 Jan)
  2. Say #ThanksAppleby to receive your free coffee.
  3. Take a photo of you having your complimentary coffee on social media and tag Appleby_Global with the hashtag: #ThanksAppleby.

*Offer available for the first 100 customers who engage in the campaign. Only one coffee per person will be permitted.
