Leading Law firm Appleby will be donating coffees to the volunteers at the Fort Regent vaccination centre and front line workers at Jersey General Hospital as part of their annual Blue Monday campaign.

The third Monday in January is known as 'Blue Monday: the gloomiest day of the year' following the Christmas and New Year celebratory period. This year, Blue Monday falls on 18 January 2021.

In previous years, Appleby have invited Jersey residents to join their Blue Monday Campaign by visiting the Bean Around the World coffee shop to receive a complimentary coffee, courtesy of the firm.  The global Blue Monday campaign, which highlights the importance of wellbeing in a frenetic world by encouraging the community to take time out of their day to grab a coffee, has been running for three years.

This Blue Monday, 18 January, due to the current Government of Jersey restrictions in place, Appleby will be donating our Blue Monday coffees to the volunteers at the Fort Regent vaccination centre and front line workers at Jersey General Hospital who are doing such a great job in supporting our community.

Lynne Capie, Head of Operations at Appleby in Jersey, said: "This campaign was designed to reinforce the importance of wellbeing and to encourage our community to take time away from the desk to grab a coffee. This year we thought it best to send the coffees, and our thanks, to some of the amazing volunteers and healthcare workers who are supporting our community during these incredibly difficult times."
