Walkers Private Capital & Trusts lawyer Nitrisha Doorasamy has been recognised by Guernsey's STEP branch for scoring the highest mark in the annual Trust Law and Practice exam, as well as achieving one of the top ten marks globally.

Nitrisha, who is an Associate in the Guernsey Private Capital & Trusts Practice Group, specialises in non-contentious private client work, including drafting and the establishment of trust, foundation and family office structures.

Before moving offshore, she worked for six years in-house as a corporate trustee and fiduciary specialist in South Africa.

That experience is crucial in her work advising local trust companies and HNWIs on asset protection and succession planning issues.

Partner Rupert Morris, who leads Walkers' Channel Islands Private Capital & Trusts team, said: "This is an outstanding result and a testament to Nitrisha's technical skill and dedication.

"In the two years that she has been with us, she has really made a mark with clients and continues to play a big role in our practice. We were all very pleased to see her recognised by Legal 500 this year for the first time and are equally delighted to see this well-deserved recognition by STEP."
