Ogier partner Tim Clipstone has been sworn in as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey.

Tim, an experienced funds, regulatory and corporate lawyer, was admitted to the Guernsey Bar in the Royal Court earlier this month.

Tim joined Ogier in Guernsey in 2018 and has more than 20 years' experience as a lawyer practising in London, BVI and Cayman Islands. He maintains a particular focus on all aspects of the life cycle of Hedge, Private Equity and Venture Capital fund structures as well as mergers and acquisitions for entities domiciled in Guernsey and BVI.

He is also a member of Ogier's multi-disciplinary Private Equity and Sustainable Investing and Impact Funds teams, and sits on Guernsey Finance's Green Strategy committee.

Tim said: "I am delighted to join the Guernsey Bar and feel very welcomed by the legal community here in the Bailiwick. I have also been well supported by my colleagues and the team at Ogier throughout the qualification process."

Tim has consistently been recognised as a leading practitioner by Chambers, Legal 500 and IFLR and was described in the latest Legal 500 2021 as "a strong leader, very personable, tremendous depth of knowledge and efficient at delivering a good service."
