Asian Legal Business has named Morrison & Foerster's Hong Kong dispute resolution partner Sarah Thomas to its 40 Under 40 list of outstanding legal professionals for 2020. The recognition highlights lawyers who have worked on some of the most significant deals and disputes in the region in the past year and have earned accolades from their peers, superiors, and clients.

With nearly 12 years of experience in international arbitration – almost nine of which have been spent in Asia – Sarah represents clients in arbitration (and related litigation) of cross-border disputes with a nexus to the Asia-Pacific region. She has a deep and thorough knowledge and understanding of arbitration legislation and institutional rules across the region. She represents clients in disputes under a variety of governing laws and has particular experience of disputes governed in whole or in part by PRC law.

Sarah is a member of the Firm's Pro Bono Committee and involved in the Firm's LGBT and diversity initiatives. She is active in the arbitration community and is a frequent speaker at arbitration conferences and events.

Sarah was named a "Dispute Resolution Star" for International Arbitration by Benchmark Litigation Asia Pacific  in its 2019 and 2020 editions. She was also recognized as one of the "Top 100 Women in Litigation" by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific 2020.
