Congratulations to insolvency partners J.J. Burnell (Manitoba) and Ryan Zahara (Alberta) on joining the membership of the Insolvency Institute of Canada (IIC).

IIC membership is by invitation-only and is based on a peer-reviewed application process. The IIC grants membership to insolvency professionals who demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism in the industry. Members of the organization are drawn from the most senior and experienced professionals representing the insolvency community in Canada.

About Ryan Zahara

Ryan has appeared as counsel in numerous restructuring proceedings under the Companies Creditors' Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act on behalf of a myriad of clients, including, debtors, creditors and court officers. Ryan also acts on behalf of secured lenders and receivers and managers in enforcement proceedings. Ryan has represented clients in insolvency proceedings from a wide range of industries including retail, real estate, mining, oil and gas and manufacturing.
