Salt Lake City Managing Partner Richard K. Glauser recently received the Utah Defense Lawyers Association's (UDLA) prestigious 2020 Legacy Award. This honor is given annually to one attorney in the state who has made a significant contribution to the defense bar over the life of his or her career.

Typically, the Legacy Award is presented at UDLA's Annual Meeting. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the in-person event was cancelled this year, and Mr. Glauser received the award during a virtual presentation on June 19, where he was introduced by former Lewis Brisbois Partner (now retired) Lowell Smith. During his introduction, Mr. Smith noted, "Rick represents the best our practice can deliver. He has honed his skills over all these years. He is bright, dedicated, and hard working. He has demonstrated his excellence and his distinguished service in the insurance industry."

In receiving the award, Mr. Glauser said, "I would like to thank the UDLA for this great honor. It means even more knowing that the UDLA members are many of the most gifted and amazing attorneys in our state. They are not only my colleagues and mentors but are  also my friends."

In addition to leading Lewis Brisbois' Salt Lake City office, Mr. Glauser is a member of the firm's General Liability and Professional Liability Practices. He has more than 35 years of trial work experience focusing on personal injury defense, property and casualty claims, coverage disputes, products liability, construction defects, and fires. Mr. Glauser has repeatedly been recognized as one of the top litigators in Utah by a number of organizations and publications.
