Coleman Greig Lawyers is thrilled to announce the recent promotion of seven dedicated and highly talented members of the firm.

Dean Claughton and Morris Maroon have been appointed as Principal Lawyers, Dung Lam and Tim McGrath appointed as Special Counsel, Lisa Qiu as Senior Associate and both Kirstie Barfoot and Oscar Dougherty have been appointed as Associates.

Principal Lawyers

Dean has been working within Coleman Greig's Commercial Property team since 2011. He has expertise in the areas of leasing, commercial property, conveyancing and retirement villages and is a key member of the team. He also recently played a crucial role in the opening and running of the Campbelltown-Macarthur office.

Morris leads Coleman Greig's Taxation Advice team, with 30 years' experience in corporate and international tax in Australia and overseas, he provides his clients with practical and sophisticated tax solutions. He adds value to his clients through helping them improve their business outcomes, whilst remaining compliant.

Special Counsel

Accredited Specialist in Business & Personal Taxation Law, Dung works within Coleman Greig's Taxation Advice team, and has extensive experience in Federal and State taxes. . She has the ability to create tax effective strategies for a wide variety of clients, often acting in negotiations and disputes with Australian revenue authorities.

Team Leader of Coleman Greig's Litigation and Dispute Resolution team in the Sydney CBD, Tim advises and acts on behalf of corporate and commercial clients, including overseas entities, SMEs, high net worth individuals and insolvency practitioners in litigated and non-litigated matters.

Senior Associate

Lisa Qiu is a Registered Migration Agent and a respected member of Coleman Greig's Employment Law team. Her unique knowledge of both employment and migration law enables her to provide specialised advice to employers about their obligations to overseas workers under Australian workplace laws, while simultaneously ensuring their obligations as a sponsor are met and maintained.

Associates

Kirstie is an integral member of Coleman Greig's Family Law team. She works exclusively as a practitioner in family law and adoptions, an area which she is truly passionate about. Kirstie was also named as a finalist for the 2019 Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards, 'Rising Star of the Year SME' category.

Oscar is a valued member of Coleman Greig's Taxation Advice team. Oscar's experience in taxation and exposure to the big four professional services firm makes him ever mindful of the commercial realities that his clients face on a daily basis. He provides tailored and practical solutions to his clients and always goes above and beyond for each client.
