Ka-on Li, an Intellectual Property partner in Jones Day's Silicon Valley Office, has been named to the Silicon Valley Business Journal's 2020 Women of Influence list. The Women of Influence series recognizes women with a strong record of innovation in their fields, outstanding performance in their businesses, and a clear track record of meaningful community involvement.

Known for combining legal excellence with technological savviness, Ms. Li leads transactions through the demanding and interdisciplinary issues of doing business in a connected and technology-driven world. She has advised emerging and established clients in virtually every industry on their strategic partnerships and collaborations, license agreements, corporate transactions, outsourcings, and commercial arrangements. She advised SunPower Corporation with the drafting and negotiation of a cross-license agreement, brand framework agreement, and collaboration agreement in connection with its proposed sponsored spin-off of its solar panel production operations into a new public company, with the public Chinese company, Tianjin Zhonghuan Semiconductor Co., Ltd, as the major investor. In representing NVIDIA Corporation on its $6.9 billion acquisition of Mellanox Technologies, Ltd., she advised on intellectual property, technology and commercial aspects of the deal.

Ms. Li serves as Chair of Jones Day's Diversity, Inclusion & Advancement Committee in the Silicon Valley Office.
