Litigation partner Sheila Boston received the Equality of Justice Award from the New York State Unified Court System's Black History Month Committee at their 30th annual program to commemorate Black History Month on February 20, 2020.

The Committee annually bestows this award on judges and non-judges alike who demonstrate excellence in their profession as well as a commitment to equality of justice in the community.

Boston was honored for her work as a litigator; her passionate advocacy for diversity and inclusion in the legal profession; her service to the community at large; and her historic nomination as Incoming President of the New York City Bar Association (City Bar). This year the City Bar will celebrate its 150th anniversary, and Boston's nomination is historic in that she will become the first woman of color to serve as the leader of the organization.
